Working alongside Onetreeplanted
Since March 2023 we have been able to plant roughly 25,000 trees per anum
As stated in our Environmental impact reduction schemes, we think its of the paramount importance to reduce our impact on our plant. Every single day a lorry is our working we will donate to have a tree planed in reforestation efforts.
In the average year for a tree its able to filter between 10kg & 40kg of Co2 out of the air, so we take 25kg as a sensible middle for our calculations. 1 lorry working 5 days a week 49 days a year is 245 trees planed per year per lorry.
245 x 25kg = 6125kg. So we are confident we can run a HGV with a large reduction in its carbon emissions
However further needs to be done to reduce Nox and Pm in the future as these are still very harmful to the environment
Employee electric car leasing
Since Jan 2025 we have been offering our employees electric lease vehicles
Thanks to the introduction of the Government backed Electric Car Scheme we are able to offer our employees the ability to lease a brand new electric car and also apply for a grant to have a charger fitted to their personal residence. We have also committed to fit a charger (At our expense) to their designated parking bay at work to allow free charging on their personal vehicle whilst working.
Grey water usage
Since October 2024 we have been collecting grey water from our workshop roof
We have installed guttering and environmental sustainable water filtration to our large workshop on site. This allows us to harvest any rain water that falls on our 3,000 ft² workshop roof. The water then passes through a charcoal filter to remove any contaminants picked up from the roof surface or guttering. Then its stored in upcycled IBC containers that used to be used for delivery of Adblue, We now get it delivered via bulk trailers so we are further reducing our carbon emissions this way.
These IBC's have been professionally cleaned and the water they store are used for washing our vehicles without wasting water unnecessarily.
